A new book has shed some light on the missionary life of the founder of the Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, Pastor Samuel Abiara.
The book is authored by Doyin Abegunde and published by Arisilejoye Publishers in the Yoruba Language. It is titled ‘Apositeli Alaafia: Itan Wolii S. K. Abiara’.
Explaining why the book is written in Yoruba, the author says he wanted to give the grassroots followers of the cleric an opportunity to know more about him.
The book comes in three major parts, with the first focusing on Abiara’s early life; the second on his getting enlisted into the Army of God and the last capturing his exploits and the progress he has continued to make, including the establishment of the Christ International Divinity College in his hometown, Erimo, Ilesa, Osun State.
One of the main things the book reveals about Abiara is the struggles that he went through before he released himself to God as a missionary. This is established in the third chapter where the evangelist recalls a soul-stirring sermon he heard at Ijo Aposteli Kristi (C.A.C) in Ibadan in 1963.
