Lotfi Achour (arabe : لطفي عاشور), né à Tunis[1], est un auteur, metteur en scène et producteur de théâtre et de cinémafranco-tunisien[2]. Il est l’auteur de plus de 25 créations théâtrales sur différentes scènes, son dernier spectacle ayant été coproduit par la Royal Shakespeare Company pour les Jeux olympiques d'été de 2012.
Au cinéma, il réalise trois courts métrages primés dans plusieurs dizaines de festivals, dont Père en lice pour les Césars2017 et La Laine sur le dos, en compétition officielle au Festival de Cannes 2016 et en lice pour les Oscars2017. En 2016, il réalise son premier long métrage, Demain dès l'aube avec Anissa Daoud.

The film, set for theatrical release in the second or third quarter of 2025, centers on 13-year-old Achraf, who is forced into a gruesome and unimaginable act after his cousin Nizar is murdered by a group of men. Carrying the severed head of his cousin as a brutal message to his family, Achraf finds himself haunted by Nizar’s ghost. As his elders fail him, Achraf is torn between holding on to Nizar’s spirit and fulfilling his duty to recover his cousin’s body, while grappling with the overwhelming burden of grief and survival.
