David Ramsdell
David Ramsdell, 80 of Scotts, died Thursday, October 12, at his home surrounded by his loving daughters. He was born March 7, in Kalamazoo to his parents Howard E. and Mildred P. (Wyble) Ramsdell. David retired from Graphic Packaging (fka Fort James Corp) in Kalamazoo after 44 years of loyal service. After his retirement, he worked for Pease Packing Corporation in Scotts. In addition to helping his in-laws, Cecil A. and Oella G. (Jackson) Vosburg, on their cattle farm, David sustained a small cattle farm with his wife, Rita Mae. In the 's, David served as an Information Specialist 4 in the United States Army and Marine Reserve.
David united in marriage on December 19, in Angola, Indiana to Rita Mae Vosburg. His wife of 56 years passed away October 6, David is survived by his children, Mary Jayne (Bill) Martin, Daniel (Paige) Ramsdell, Doretta (Brad) Boase, Rosemary (Kos) Semonski, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and his brother, Louis (Joyce) Ramsdell. David was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Joan Ramsdell and Judy (Roger) Newmeyer.

Sandra Sue David of Ozark, Missouri, age 76, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, October 6, She was born on August 20, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edward Lamar Newman and Willetta Mae (Irwin) Newman. In , she married Larry Leon David, and together they had five children. Sandra traveled widely, from Louisiana and Hawaii to Alaska and Germany, following her husband wherever his military career took them; three of their children were born while the family was stationed in Germany, where they lived for several years. Sandra loved her family and friends intensely and was in turn immensely beloved as a compassionate caretaker and matriarch. She guided her family with a steady hand for decades, fiercely protective of her loved ones, never losing her no-nonsense Midwestern attitude despite having visited such exotic locations as the shores of Hawaii and the canals of Florence, Italy. Even with her love of travel and wealth of worldly experience, Sandra enjoyed the simple things; she took great pride in her beautiful flower collection and loved to read novels, particularly mysteries and historical fiction. She was a loyal friend to neighbors both far and near, and will be remembered fondly for her wisdom and humor, which she often delivered in
