Today we mourn the loss of a Son of our Soil. A genuine, loving, dedicated, respectable human being, who embraced everyone, regardless of their political affiliation. On his many visits to Canouan, he would be up before the crack of dawn to walk the beach for his morning exercise.
In the early days there were no electricity, no bank, no telephones, airport or proper roads. His most favourite means of transport to the other Grenadine Islands was by small f1shing boats without engine, facing the rough seas, but he was determined to provide a better way of life for the people he represented.
